Algebra I

General Description

IvyBoost Education is pleased to announce a unique summer learning experience for young mathematicians.  This preview course in Algebra 1 will give them a big head start for excelling in their regular math class in the Fall. This course preview the subject in four weeks. The course includes:

• Linear and quadratic functions, equations and inequalities
• Systems of linear equations and inequalities
• Exponents and polynomials
• Factoring polynomials
• Quadratic functions and equations
• Data analysis
• Exponential and radical functions
• Rational functions and equations

An assessment test on the first day will let us know the students’ math level.  Tests at the end of each week will tell if concepts are sinking in. 

There are no prerequisites for enrolling.  Although the course is suited primarily to students taking Algebra 1 in the Fall, a student of any age who would like to learn algebra can enjoy and benefit from the course.
