Seminar: High Score Tips for the SAT Transition
Date: Saturday, 04/25 at 1:00pm
Location: 43301 Mission Blvd, Fremont, CA, 94539
Speaker:  Dr. Karen Brown-Wheeler

Dr. Karen BrMentor: Karen Wheelerown-Wheeler earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from Emory University in Atlanta, specializing in British Victorian and Early Modern Irish Literature. Dr. Brown-Wheeler has been with IvyBoost focusing primarily on preparing students for the Critical Reading and Writing sections of the SAT and helping students compose and refine their college application essays.

Prior to my classes at IvyBoost, my SAT score was being brought down by my lackluster SAT Writing score. With the help of Karen’s in-depth SAT writing classes, in one month, I was able to bring up my Writing score from a mediocre 660 to a perfect 800. Her perfect teaching method combined with a lot of her practice tests allowed me to reach my target score!

Karen is very knowledgeable, helpful, and committed, and definitely helped me improve a great deal. IvyBoost cares for the students, and helps and guides me when needed.  Karen worked with me for about a year, first on the PSAT then the SAT. On the PSAT, I scored a 223. The first time I took the SAT, my score was a 2360.
