Zahabiya Moiz

Zahabiya has recently graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Davis.

She is passionate about expanding her knowledge on human disease vaccination. She worked at TM3 Therapeutics for 2 years and was trained on how to clone rhino viral vectors for influenza vaccine research. At UC Davis she also acquired a background on protein analysis during her Research Internship where she studied the 3-D structure of HIV gp145 protein using computational biology methods.

Along with her science background she enjoys helping students unleash their academic potential by providing one-on-one tutoring. She’s been tutoring for two years and has helped improve students’ performance by an entire letter grade in a variety of science and math subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry,  as well as ACT test preparation.
