Counselor & Tutor, Connie Wu

Connie is a third year medical student at Boston University School of Medicine. She graduated cum laude with a neuroscience degree from Pomona College, which is currently ranked as the #1 college in the nation by Forbes.

Her teaching and mentoring experience includes SAT prep, writing, and biological sciences at both the college and graduate school level. She served as the TA for cellular biology and advanced neurobiology at Pomona, and has continued to tutor her peers in medical school. Her interests in academia began with working in a neurobiology lab at Pomona. She has presented her research at the Society for Neuroscience and completed her college career with an experimental thesis.

Having personally gone through the college and medical school application process, she understands what it takes to be successful during this journey. She has shared her knowledge by serving as a pre-med advisor for her peers at Pomona College. Connie is always excited to mentor students aspiring to enter the ever-growing field of medicine, and she looks forward to working with you!

Jenny Tang

Jenny is a recent graduate from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelors of Arts in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology and Health Sciences. She is passionate about all things science and aspires to become a primary care physician.

Jenny has over three years of tutoring experience with students from all grades, elementary to college, in a variety of subjects including general chemistry, organic chemistry, pre-algebra, geometry, and biology. She was also a peer advisor at UC Berkeley where she effectively assisted fellow students in creating schedules suitable for their career interests. Furthermore, she was a director at the UC Berkeley Public Service Center where she co-facilitated leadership skills workshops and discussions on social justice topics.

Her impeccable communication skills, combined with her impressive academic record (2340 on SAT I, 800 on SAT Math II, 780 on SAT Biology, 5s in AP Biology, English Literature, Statistics, Psychology, and Mandarin), make her a well-rounded and experienced tutor and mentor, and she is excited to assist students in achieving both academic and career success!
