IvyBoost Welcomes Celia, Yammy, and Namrata to Our Tutoring Team!
This September, IvyBoost Education has included some strong new additions to our tutoring team!
Celia Zhao
With her strong passion for foreign languages, Celia earned her BA in French Language and an M. Ed degree in TESOL from SUNY Buffalo. She has tutored adults in French and other students in ESL and Mandarin Chinese in New York and California. As a second language learner herself, Celia believes that learning different languages helps students explore the charms of other cultures.
Yammy Kung
Yammy is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics and a minor in Chinese. Courses she took in her Economics major included: two semesters of Calculus, Statistics, Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Analysis, and Econometrics. Yammy can tutor Math, English, and AP Microeconomics/Macroeconomics; she has private tutoring experience through an after-school learning center and a nonprofit organization.
She enjoys helping students and would be happy to share her experiences and knowledge about college life.
Namrata Vora
Namrata graduated from UC San Diego with a double major in Biology and Study of Religion. During her time at UCSD, she served as president for Peer Mentor Program, matching undergraduate students within pre-health majors with each other, to help her peers collaborate, form study groups, find resources while encouraging each other to achieve academic success. Namrata has many years of tutoring experience, especially for biology and chemistry. She enjoys working with students to build upon their strengths and improve areas of weakness in a patient and encouraging manner to build confidence within her students, preparing them for independent success.
